Happily, yesterday and today have seen some preliminary recording sessions for this piece (and Static Form Two). On Friday (28/02/2020) Clive will be here to get the piano into top shape for next week which will be dedicated to recording Winding, and as many other pieces as possible. I’ve been practising this piece assiduously for two months now, and finally feel it’s coming together, but it’s anyone’s guess as to how long it takes to get the recording I want. If my memory serves me well, when doing the Refringent Lines series there was one piece which was done more or less on the first take, but there were far more that needed forty, fifty, or even one hundred takes.
